Research Assistant

Ever since I took a course on Animal Cognition in my BSc Psychology I’ve been interested in the comparison of cognition between humans and non-human animals. Studying cognition in non-human animals can teach us valuable things about both the development of human cognition throughout life as well as throughout evolution. Are humans really as unique as we like to think? Is our cognition fundamentally different? These are questions that fascinate me, and this has led me to start my master’s internship in ARTIS under Yena’s supervision back in January 2021. Since August 2021 I have started as a Research Assistant, continuing the data collection in ARTIS for several projects. I am very excited to keep working on these projects, and to learn more about the cognitive capacities of primates and the relation to human cognition.
