Winner of the CoPAN photo competition II

Dit jaar organiseerden we een foto-competitie met als thema ‘de sociale en emotionele orang-oetan’. Het doel van de wedstrijd was om mooie foto’s te verzaemelen die we kunnen gebruiken in onze experimenten met de orangs in de Apenheul. In totaal hebben we 540 foto’s ontvangen. Na lang beraad en stemmen van alle CoPAN leden kwam Frans van de Kolff uit als winnaar. Op een gedeelde tweede plek eindigden Greetje Olde Hanhof en Joke Kok.
Ik wil de winnaars feliciteren en bedanken voor het delen van uw waardevolle foto’s. Ook wil ik graag de andere mensen die hebben bijgedragen bedanken. Ik hoop dat u ons foto’s zult blijven toesturen! Ook al is de competitie voorbij, foto’s van orang-oetans en bonobos kan ik nog steeds heel goed gebruiken, vooral die waar sociaal-emotionele gedragingen op te zien zijn! Dus wilt u dit onderzoek verder steunen, schroom niet en deel uw foto’s via www.wetransfer.com of op een voor u handige manier. De foto’s worden uitsluitend voor wetenschappelijke doeleinden ingezet.Als u meer wilt weten over het lopende onderzoek, nodig ik u uit het nieuwsverslag van mijn promovendus Evy van Berlo te lezen en te volgen. This year we organized a photo competition with the theme ‘the social and emotional orangutan’. The goal of the competition was to collect beautiful pictures which we can use in our experiments with orangutans in Apenheul Primate Park. In total, we received 540 contributions. After careful consideration and anonymous votes by all CoPAN members, Frans van der Kolff came out as the winner. Greetje Olde Hanhof and Joke Kok ended on a shared second place.
I would like to congratulate the winners and thank them again for sharing their pictures! I also would like to thank all other people contributed to this research by sending in photographs. I hope you will keep sending us pictures!
Even though the competition is over now, please know that I can still use more pictures from orangutans and bonobos, especially if they show social or emotional behaviors!
