Iza Korsmit has joined the lab to collaborate with Diego Arize on the project that aims to develop a mobile application to train emotion recognition and regulation. She has a research background in music and emotion cognition, but also has expertise in data privacy and security through her work as a data steward. Currently, she is running an experiment that uses the rubber hand illusion to elicit genuine expressions of emotions like surprise, fear, but also laughter. These recordings of genuine expressions can then be used in the mobile application. With the Psychology Lab on Wheels, she recently ran the experiment at the Night of Discoveries (photo) and Artis Groote Museum. On October 27 she will be back at Artis Groote Museum to run the experiment.
